    How Emotional
Intelligence Influences Your Business & Your Clients

Emotional Intelligence is a powerful skill set that we all have, but we are not always aware of its impact. In this networking call, Lissa and Natori will discuss why a strong EQ improves the relationships with your clients, facilitates better ah-ha moments in your workshops, and helps us understand the connection to horses.

    Your Presenters:

Natori Coleman is a therapeutic riding instructor, certified through PATH International. Although new to E3A, she brings a wealth of varied experiences, as wildlife and equestrian photographer, leading trail rides, executive coaching, and as a marketing consultant. She is a certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner and provides corporate coaching on EI as well as providing coaching to people with horses and to horse professionals.

Lissa Pohl is owner of In Good Spirits, LLC, a consulting firm that designs and facilitates

    Website:  www.ssyea.com

Course Description: This course is a 3 day small group hands-on class to assist students who want to utilize E3A's approach to Personal Development & Wellbeing workshops.  We will take you step-by-step through the workshop planning and delivery process.  You will learn how to design personal development workshops to address issues such as:

    • Self-awareness and self-discovery
    • Dealing with change
    • Overcoming obstacles
    • Boundaries
    • Life balance
    • Limiting beliefs
    • Goal-setting
    • Communication
    • Overcoming fear
    • Building self-confidence
    • Values clarification
    • Authenticity
    • And much more, including how to work with special populations, such as parent, youth groups, recovery groups, etc.

Facilitating Personal Development & Wellbeing workshops can be tricky because the powerful work with the horses can lead your clients deeply into their own personal issues.

    • We'll show you how to facilitate the issues that arise without getting into psychotherapy territory.  (Hint: It's all about the question and your focus).
    • Find out how to utilize the E3A Transformative Model presented in the E5 teleclass.
    • See in action how the E3A Facilitation Method has been augmented to allow you to target personal development & wellbeing issues.
    • We'll also introduce new horse activities and ways to modify existing horse activities for Personal Development & Wellbeing workshops.

NOTE:  This is an enrichment class, and does not result in any sort of certification.

Because E3A believes that doing Personal Development & Wellbeing workshops requires advanced facilitation skills, the following are prerequisites for taking this course:

Registration and Cancellation Information

Please Note:

  • Please sign up in advance so we know that you are planning to attend an event.  Registration closes prior to the event as noted on the event description.  Also, all events are subject to a minimum number of attendees and dates may change.  E3A will evaluate attendance to all events in order to determine if an event will be held or rescheduled, as follows:
    • 3 days prior to the event for Teleclasses and Teleconference Meetings
    • 30 days prior to the event for Face-to-Face Events and Training Programs
  • E3A can always schedule more training programs at most locations if we can get at least 10 participants - please contact E3A at 775-376-2530 or Staff@E3Assoc.org to learn more about hosting a training program.
  • Members:  In order to receive your membership discount, please log in to this website prior to registering.
  • EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY for Onsite Workshops:

    ·   Full refund: If cancellation is received in writing up to 30 days prior to the event less a $50 administrative cancellation fee

    ·   50% refund: If cancellation is received in writing between 14-30 days prior to the event less a $50 administrative cancellation fee.

    ·   No refund: If cancellation is received in writing less than 14 days prior to the event.

In all cases, registration can be transferred to a future training, if that training occurs within one (1) year from the original training date without an administrative cancellation fee.

Registration can be transferred from one registrant to another person without penalty or administrative fee.
