    COST: $75 / Person

    Course Description: A primer on experiential education and the facilitation process that provides context and framework for equine-based action learning.  The concepts presented are primarily based on the book, Open to Outcome (O2O - reading is a course prerequisite).  This course will provide a basic understanding of experiential facilitation for Equine Experiential Education (E3) programming, or other equine-based work with corporations, youth or individuals.  This is the initial introduction into experiential facilitation and the training courses that follow reinforce and build upon this basic knowledge of facilitation.

     

    Prerequisite:  Please read the following book prior to the teleclass:  Open To Outcome: A Practical Guide for Facilitating and Teaching Experiential Reflection by Micah Jacobson and Mari Ruddy. Either edition is ok for class. Book can be found at Amazon.com.

    CANCELLATION POLICY:

    C1 is for members only thus all registrants must be a member in good standing to register for this teleclass. Payment is required upon registration for this teleclass. Class materials and call info will be provided two weeks prior to the call. Students may transfer a registration to another class if unable to attend in person or receive the recording of the class. No refunds are given.

    Special Guest Host: Kathy Milbeck, Master Trainer and Board Member

    Kathy co-founded Equinemity in 2006. After almost 20 years with her own horses, Kathy has seen and experienced countless times how these soulful and sensitive beings help people awaken heart-based moments of authenticity. She believes in creating a space that breathes confidence so individuals can see a future full of possibilities as well as the path that leads to fulfilling those dreams. Kathy received her certification in equine experiential educational and corporate coaching by Equine Experiential Association (E3A) in 2006. She is a Master Trainer and teaches equine assisted learning (EAL, while serving on the board of E3A as well. 
     
    Kathy brings the instincts and experience of almost 40 years as a psychotherapist to the world of equine facilitated human development. After receiving her Masters in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame in 1980, she worked at the Special Children’s Clinic in Reno for a decade, and served as an assistant clinical professor at University of Nevada School of Medicine for 11 years. Kathy has maintained a successful private psychotherapy practice since 1982.

    Margaret is our very own Office Manager for E3A. She has been with us since 2015 and serves as your go-to gal for all questions regarding membership and events. She is E3A trained and looking toward certification with us.  Margaret was involved as a volunteer and board member with a PATH center in Dallas,TX before she moved to Denver, CO. Her coaching career began with Melisa Pearce as her mentor, enrolling in The Equine Gestalt Coaching Certification program and graduated in 2011. She later traveled to CA and studied with Arianna Strozzi at Sky Horse Ranch and was certified as an Equine Guided Educator. Margaret founded her own equine experiential coaching business Authenticity With Horses in 2012 in Evergreen, CO. She is passionate about serving individuals to discover their own passions and reach for their fullest potential as a human being while embracing their authentic self. 

Registration and Cancellation Information


For C1 teleclass:

C1 is for members only thus all registrants must be a member in good standing to register for this teleclass. Payment is required upon registration for this teleclass. Class materials and call info will be provided two weeks prior to the call. Students may transfer a registration to another class if unable to attend in person or receive the recording of the class. No refunds are given.

C2 arena class:

This class has a prerequisite of attending C1 teleclass. Payment terms for early bird pricing requires payment prior to the early bird deadline stated in the event details (30 days prior to start of event). Bundle pricing which means attending both C2 & C3 at the same event (or attend C3 at a later date within the same or next year) requires full payment six weeks (45 days) prior to the start of the C2 event.

C3 arena class:

This class has a prerequisite of attending C2. Payment terms for early bird pricing requires payment prior to the early bird deadline stated in the event details (30 days prior to start of event). Bundle pricing which means attending both C2 & C3 at the same event (or attend C3 at a later date within the same or next year) requires full payment six weeks (45 days) prior to the start of the C2 event. Please sign up in advance so we know that you are planning to attend an event.  Registration closes prior to the event as noted on the event description.  Also, all events are subject to a minimum number of attendees and dates may change.  E3A will evaluate attendance to all events in order to determine if an event will be held or rescheduled, as follows:
    • 3 days prior to the event for Teleclasses and Teleconference Meetings
    • 30 days prior to the event for Face-to-Face Events and Training Programs
  • E3A can always schedule more training programs at most locations if we can get at least 10 participants - please contact E3A at 775-376-2530 or Staff@E3Assoc.org to learn more about hosting a training program.
  • Members:  In order to receive your membership discount, please log in to this website prior to registering.

Cancellation Policy for all on-site workshops:

E3A reserves the right to cancel a training if there are not enough participants and will confirm an event 6 weeks prior to the start date. E3A encourages participants to not purchase plane tickets prior to 6 weeks from the event and confirmation has been given.

All paid registrations are eligible for transfer to another workshop event within a year from original registration. Registration can be transferred from one registrant to another person without penalty or administrative fee. 

  • Full refund: If cancellation is received in writing up to 30 days prior to the event less a $50 administrative cancellation fee.
  • 50% refund: If cancellation is received in writing between 14-30 days prior to the event less a $50 administrative cancellation fee. 
  • No refund: If cancellation is received in writing less than 14 days prior to the event. 

In all cases, registration can be transferred to a future training, if that training occurs within one (1) year from the original training date without an administrative cancellation fee.


Registration can be transferred from one registrant to another person without penalty or administrative fee.
