    William is the Founder of Chiron Revelations, LLC in Swanton, Vermont. He develops leadership, team building, and self-awareness workshops in online and classroom platforms, as well as in arenas with horses as co-facilitators. He is an experienced higher education instructor and business consultant and is a retired United States Air Force veteran. He earned a master’s degree in Organizational Development and a graduate certificate as a Hopkins Fellows in Managing Change. His certifications include Equine Experiential Education, Appreciative Inquiry, Strengthscope, Future Search, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.     Margaret is our very own Office Manager for E3A. She has been with us since 2015 and serves as your go-to gal for all questions regarding membership and events. She is E3A trained and looking toward certification with us.  Margaret was involved as a volunteer and board member with a PATH center in Dallas,TX before she moved to Denver, CO. Her coaching career began with Melisa Pearce as her mentor, enrolling in The Equine Gestalt Coaching Certification program and graduated in 2011. She later traveled to CA and studied with Arianna Strozzi at Sky Horse Ranch and was certified as an Equine Guided Educator. Margaret founded her own equine experiential coaching business Authenticity With Horses in 2012 in Evergreen, CO. She is passionate about serving individuals to discover their own passions and reach for their fullest potential as a human being while embracing their authentic self.     Course Description: 

    This E3A Enrichment Class will explore why horses, as co-facilitators of learning, can provide value and benefit to your clients in exploring their strengths. Examine the powerful methodology of incorporating a strengths focused approach to leadershipteam development or personal development. Learn how to leverage the Clifton Strengths assessment tool to analyze your clients’ team composition help create stronger, better functioning teams as well as to help personal development clients gain clarity around how to lever their strengths to empower them in creating positive change in their lives. Participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to improve their skills in facilitating strengths-based equine experiential learning sessions for both personal and professional development clients. This program is an introductory experience into E3 that is concentrated on facilitation with a strengths-focus. 

    This program does not cover the E3A Facilitation Model, which is part of the E3A certification training program. The focus of this enrichment class is to provide participants with information to use the Clifton Strengths Assessment in facilitating their EAL programs.This workshop is not meant to guide participants in developing a horse safety program nor will it provide an in-depth examination of horse behavior, developing overall facilitation skills, designing workshops, or business development. All of these topics are covered in the E3A certification training.

    Prerequisites: Please read the following book and take the Clifton Strengths assessment prior to the training.

    1. Read the book Strengths Based LeadershipGreat Leaders, Teams, and Why People Follow by Tom Rath and Barry Conchi;

    2. Take the Clifton Strengths assessment (directions and access provided within the book) and submit your top 5 strengths to E3A one week before the training;

    3. Complete the E1 Teleclass: StrengthsFinder Assessment Tool-Based on the Book Strengths Based Leadership. If unable to attend a recent E1 class, a link to a recorded teleclass will be provided when you register at a cost.

    Take-A-ways for this program include: 

    • Gain experience facilitating learning programs with horses.

    • Understand the unique power that horses bring to a strengths-based experiential education session and learn how to fully realize the horses’ potential to help clients use their strengths to develop the horse-human partnership.

    • Experience the E3A facilitation model for doing strengths-based Equine Experiential Education (E3) programs.

    • Utilize the Clifton Strengths assessment tool; learn about the value of this tool and how to integrate assessment tools into an Equine Experiential Education (E3) program.

    • Understand how a strengths-based approach can power the productivity of a team, improve leadership skills and empower your clients to uncover the results they desire.

    Please note:  This program is an enrichment class and not part of the E3A certification program and is facilitated differently than the E3A certification training. It will be facilitated by E3A’s trainers and participants will participate in activities and debriefing sessions, with limited opportunities to facilitate activities with the horses. For facilitation skills development, it is recommended that participants attend our Level 1 Certification.  Click here for information on the Level 1 Certification.

    E3A reserves the right to cancel a training if there are not enough participants and will confirm an event 6 weeks prior to the start date. E3A encourages participants to not purchase plane tickets prior to 6 weeks from the event and confirmation has been given.

    All paid registrations are eligible for transfer to another workshop event within a year from original registration. Registration can be transferred from one registrant to another person without penalty or administrative fee.

    Course Description: A primer on experiential education and the facilitation process that provides context and framework for equine-based action learning.  The concepts presented are primarily based on the book, Open to Outcome (O2O - reading is a course prerequisite).  This course will provide a basic understanding of experiential facilitation for Equine Experiential Education (E3) programming, or other equine-based work with corporations, youth or individuals.  This is the initial introduction into experiential facilitation and the training courses that follow reinforce and build upon this basic knowledge of facilitation.

     

    Prerequisite:  Please read the following book prior to the teleclass:  Open To Outcome: A Practical Guide for Facilitating and Teaching Experiential Reflection by Micah Jacobson and Mari Ruddy. Either edition is ok for class. Book can be found at Amazon.com.

    CANCELLATION POLICY:

    C1 is for members only thus all registrants must be a member in good standing to register for this teleclass. Payment is required upon registration for this teleclass.     • BUNDLE RATE $2000 IF PAID IN FULL 45 days in advance (deadline is August 1st)

    Payment terms for early bird pricing requires payment prior to the early bird deadline stated in the event details (30 days prior to start of event). Bundle pricing which means attending both C2 & C3 at the same event (or attend C3 at a later date within the same or next year) requires full payment six weeks (45 days) prior to the start of the C2 event.

    The Bundle Rate is at a discount of $250 off the combination of the regular rates of $1000 for C2 and $1250 for C3( if purchased separately the total cost is $2250). 

    Just choose the "Bundle" option on the registration page and follow the instructions. You will be asked to choose which C3 class you will be attending so please be sure to complete that information. The Registration Code required is "bundle".

    Need a refresher? If you have taken IN-2/3, FUND-2 or C2 and feel the need to brush up on your skills, you may audit this class for $150, depending on space available. If you are eligible to audit and are interested in this option, please contact the E3A office to register.

    • C2 Course Description: 

    Through an intensive small group 3 day hands-on training, class participants explore why horses, as co-facilitators, provide an experiential learning experience with value and benefits unlike any other, and how to facilitate those experiences. Takeaways include:

    • Discover the key aspects of partnership with horses in a conscious and responsible manner while embracing the wisdom of our horse partners
    • Become acquainted with the E3A horse activities, how they work, when to use them in different contexts (Corporate, Education and Personal Development), and how to custom-tailor them
    • Develop the ability to interpret the horse/human connection relative to participants individual and group actions during horse activities
    • Acquire a basic understanding of applied equine experiential facilitation and coaching techniques for trainers
    • Understand how change occurs and the powerful questions that bring out the best results during the E3 debrief
    • Begin to discover your strengths as a trainer and find your voice as a facilitator and leader

    C3 Course Description: 

    This course is a 3 day small group facilitation practicum that provides extensive training in how to facilitate E3A horse activities inside of the corporate, education and personal development contexts.  Trainees will learn about team maturity and the team change process, and how best to facilitate individuals and teams with effective EAL debriefing techniques, plus gain experience using the StrengthsFinder assessment tool in a workshop setting. 

     Also covered are steps 3-6 of the E3A workshop process involving how to:

    • Design and conduct an EAL training program based on pre- workshop assessment results,
    • Choose horse activities to achieve client goals
    • Create a post-workshop summary report that will lead to future client consulting

    Participants will come away from this training possessing the skills required to debrief clients using effective program solutions that will improve results, teamwork and communication no matter who your target audience is.

    C1 – Introduction to Equine Experiential Facilitation Method- based on the Book, Open to Outcome

    THE CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD IN THE BEAUTIFUL ARIZONA DESERT, IN ONE OF THE MOST DESIRABLE HORSE DESTINATIONS IN THE U.S.

    THIS IS A UNIQUE CONFERENCE, WITH LOTS OF ARENA TIME WITH THE AMAZING HORSES OF THE WHITE STALLION RANCH

    Each day will have a different focus:

    • Day 1 –The Future of EAL: what is the vision for equine assisted learning? What is the place of our work in the larger global context? What trends might affect your business? What is E3A’s role in the growing area of experiential education?
    • Day 2 – Best practices for maintaining the well-being of the equine/facilitator partnership and new approaches/perspectives to equine participation in EAL work. How to handle disruptive behaviors: both human and equine? How to get the most out of our equine partners and our clients? What are the results of a successful EAL session and how do we USE those results?
    • Day 3 – Successful models for sustainable and profitable Equine Assisted Learning businesses.

    Cancellation Policy:  Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the Equine Experiential Education Association.  Cancellations received by August 31st, 2019 will receive a full refund.  Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received September 1st, 2019 and thereafter and for no shows.  Cancellation refunds will be processed by check, regardless of the original method of payment.  All refund checks will be issued post-conference by October 31, 2019. Refunds will be mailed to the individual registrant, to the address provided at the time of registration.

Please sign up in advance so we know that you are planning to attend an event.  Registration closes prior to the event as noted on the event description.  Also, all events are subject to a minimum number of attendees and dates may change.  E3A will evaluate attendance to all events in order to determine if an event will be held or rescheduled, as follows:
    • 3 days prior to the event for Teleclasses and Teleconference Meetings
    • 30 days prior to the event for Face-to-Face Events and Training Programs
  • E3A can always schedule more training programs at most locations if we can get at least 10 participants - please contact E3A at 775-376-2530 or Staff@E3Assoc.org to learn more about hosting a training program.
