E3A – Equine Experiential Education

Member Spotlight: Jody Jacob-McVey

Our January Member Spotlight is Jody Jacob-McVey from EquiSense Solutions LLC in New York.
Jody completed her Level 1 (C2/C3) Certification through E3A in 2013. Her work takes place in person, on the phone or in the pasture. She doesn’t have her own horses, she works with farms where her clients are. Mostly in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area. She has also been doing some consulting on the west coast – SoCal to Vancouver BC.

Jody lives in New York City. The farms she is currently partnering with are the Bergen Equestrian Center, located 17 minutes from her Manhattan home where she has been doing the work for 10 years and GallopNYC which is a very cool non-profit serving clients in all five boroughs of New York City.

Jody feels incredibly honored to have been on one of the original treatment teams that served military veterans during a research study by Columbia University et al measuring EAT for veterans with PTSD. They also have another study out for publication measuring safety and somatic change in young adults from Covenant House, New Jersey.

E3A: Why did you choose E3A to become certified?

Jody: I was Eagala certified and wanted to do corporate work which was not a primary offering of Eagala at the time. And, I won an E3A membership in a raffle!

E3A: How has the E3A facilitation process enhanced the outcomes for your participants?

Jody: I’m a numbers girl, I worked in finance and risk management for 17 years in NYC, and knew that corporations were looking for measurable outcomes. The 5 Questions model is easy to get my clients to desired goals and outcomes.

If you would like to connect with Jody or find out more about the programs she offers, you can email her or call her at 917-886-6629 or connect with her on linkedin.
