E3A: Tell us about your program:
Martha: My program is EquiDiscovery, LLC. We work with for-profit and non-profit organizations, and ministry teams to enhance communication, team development and productivity. My program is a bit different in that I’ve built a network of farms and horses across Arkansas to hold workshops. Having several locations across the state, as well as central Arkansas where I live, enables me to reach more clients. Rather than asking them to incur travel, lodging and meal expenses, I can go to them. It was work to get it arranged but well worth the effort.
E3A: What benefits have your E3A certifications brought to your programs?
Martha: E3A had me at hello. The experienced trainers, curriculum and hands on arena work was an answer to prayer. When I am enrolling businesses or churches, the E3A credential is often the point where their “maybe” turns into a “yes.” The training and certification has value in that I know I’m fully prepared and can focus on the horses and participants.
E3A: What transformations have you seen in your clients using the E3A facilitation process?
Martha: One participant moved from being completely passive on her team to finding her voice and power so that by the end of the day, she was directing the team in an exercise. When I followed up, her supervisor said she is now one of his most confident team members. Another was so moved by his experience with the horses, he went from scepter to keeping the horse’s picture on his desk as his “spiritual mentor.”
