E3A – Equine Experiential Education

News From The Board – January 2021

In case you might not have noticed …….. 2021 is finally here!

Looking out over the vast expanse of opportunities that lie before us this year, and beyond, E3A is in the right place and in the right position to equip our equine practitioners for the challenges ahead. Your E3A Board and Committees have been actively listening to member input, planning and laying the groundwork during 2020 to address suggestions to meet future challenges. I am pleased to announce significant value added to our existing, highly regarded equine experiential education programs. And it starts this month!

First, E3A recognizes the essential focus of our training is centered on the horse/human connection. Our promise to you, as a member of E3A, is to always partner with horses to support you in creating extraordinary transformational experiences for your clients.

Our Master Trainers have worked tirelessly to enhance Level 1 Certification program. Most of the E3A enhanced, “knowledge based” didactic material is now available for self-paced on-line learning. Upon completion of the on-line course, you are eligible to attend the 5-day, Capstone experiential arena programs to complete your Level 1 Certification. Added this year, for the first time, is a full day focused on the horse/human connection. E3A recognizes that the core of its ability to equip practitioners is reading and interpreting equine behavior, and then knowing how to integrate that behavior response during client debriefing sessions to elicit maximum transformation in clients. The remaining 4 days of the arena training will focus on you learning facilitation techniques and developing your competency at facilitation.

Looking ahead, E3A will have its 2021 Conference this year at White Stallion Ranch, Tucson, AZ, October 13-17, 2021, assuming that travel and health related issues will be returning to an acceptable level by that time. The conference will be a combined live and virtual experience that you will not want to miss. We will provide details on Conference and lodging registration next month with the launch of our new E3A website.

Speaking of which, look for the launch of our new, interactive website in February 2021! The new website has many member networking features!

E3A is leading the way into the future with experience, a best of its kind training program conducted by skilled Master Trainers, and a firm conviction that our model, for both personal and professional wellbeing, is the solution you, our practitioners, and your clients are seeking and needing, consistent with what you and your clients deserve. We are grateful for lessons learned, and excited about future opportunities to serve.

Thank you for being a member of the E3A herd.

Joe

Can we pause and take a moment to think about what the horses tell us about being in a herd?

They’ve spent millions of years surviving because they take care of each other, yet stay independent and unique.

They allow each to be their own horse, yet, keep the group safe.

The Power of the E3A Herd A few weeks ago I moved my home and farm in Connecticut 90 minutes away to the Berkshire foothills in New York, which has caused me to think more about the importance of having a strong human herd to support your work with horses.  E3A has been instrumental as a human herd supporting me and my equine partners from the...
