E3A – Equine Experiential Education

News from the Board – March 2021

Hello E3A Herd!

Recently I was asked what I loved about E3A and why I am a part of it.  There are so many things that make our organization one that I love being part of and enjoy giving back to.  Here are just a few of the reasons:

E3A is the first equine related organization where I have felt there is connection and collaboration.  Other members, regardless of their level of experience, are willing to share their tips and best practices.  Just like a herd, we work together for the betterment of each member and the organization.

Our Certification program gave me not only the confidence, knowledge and tools I needed to be an effective facilitator, it helped me grow as an individual.  I truly believe as practitioners in this field, we have an opportunity to continue to transform.  The skills we gain through E3A’s Certification and Personal Development and Wellbeing trainings help us do just that for our clients and ourselves.

Being a part of the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors allows me to give back to an organization that has given me so much.  Involvement has given me insight into the dedication of those who are involved in the leadership of E3A. Board and Committee members alike are working diligently to grow E3A and it’s services and opportunities for our members.

I thoroughly enjoy being able to give back to E3A.   You can give back too, there are several different ways to give back:
  • You can connect with other members in our Member and Certified Practitioner Facebook pages by commenting and sharing your tips and ideas on posts.
  • Answer our monthly member question in the newlsetter (See We Want to Hear From Our Herd…You, section)
  • Participate in the Member Networking calls.
  • Become a Regional Ambassador for your region.
  • Join one of our committees to help us expand E3A and it’s member’s benefits.  We have a Program/Event, Marketing, Strategic Action and Membership Committee.
  • Designate E3A as a recipient on your Amazon orders through Amazon Smiles.
2021 is going to be an exciting and transformative year for E3A and we invite you to join us in making it happen!

Can we pause and take a moment to think about what the horses tell us about being in a herd?

They’ve spent millions of years surviving because they take care of each other, yet stay independent and unique.

They allow each to be their own horse, yet, keep the group safe.

The Power of the E3A Herd A few weeks ago I moved my home and farm in Connecticut 90 minutes away to the Berkshire foothills in New York, which has caused me to think more about the importance of having a strong human herd to support your work with horses.  E3A has been instrumental as a human herd supporting me and my equine partners from the...
