For our January 2021 E3A Member Professional Development Meeting, we enjoyed a conversation with Carrie Brady.
Carrie is an experienced executive and consultant who is passionate about helping individuals and teams to realize their strengths and to bring their personal and professional dreams to life. She has served as a Vice President in two healthcare associations and has led national and international efforts to improve healthcare, including co-facilitating the Patient and Family Engagement Forum of the World Innovation Summit for Health, a global collaboration hosted by the Qatar Foundation and Imperial College London. She is well-known for her engaging and experiential keynotes, workshops, and webinars.
Carrie integrates innovative approaches that rapidly cut through barriers and produce powerful results, including experiential learning and creative arts-based programs. After learning that medical schools were partnering with horses to teach doctors bedside manner and teamwork skills, she created Possibilities Farm, LLC in Metropolitan New York. Carrie offers services beyond the farm through telephone coaching sessions, a national “Heart Herd” personal development program, and traveling to healthcare facilities, schools, and community organizations with her miniature horse, Paddington.
Carrie is an E3A Certified Practitioner and a PATH certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. She earned a JD from Northwestern University where she was an editor of the Law Review, an MA in Sociology, and a Patient Safety Leadership Fellowship. She is the author of the book HCAHPS Basics and several other widely used healthcare resources, and currently writes a weekly guide to using horse wisdom to thrive in personal and professional life.
